Abraham's Broken Collarbone

Poor Abraham! Yesterday, on the day he turned 7 months old, he fell and broke his collarbone. He was extremely good natured about it. There weren't many tears, and there wasn't any screaming. Aside from him carefully protecting his left arm and the little bump on his left shoulder, you wouldn't have known anything was wrong.

Here our little patient is getting ready for his x-ray. We were holding some ice on his shoulder.

He did not enjoy the x-ray at all... or at least being held down for it.

So, what have I learned in the last 24 hours?
1. Baby Tylenol is amazing.
2. My active baby is still an active baby, even with a broken bone.
3. It's hard to persuade a baby with a broken collarbone not to roll over.
4. And as you can see below, a baby doesn't learn to eat neatly just because they have a broken collarbone.

An editor's note: This post is out of order. I have a few weeks of pictures that should go before this, since I like to post chronologically. They will be posted later.

Sorry to hear he broke his collarbone! How did he fall? Hope it heals up quickly for him with no repeat injuries anytime soon!
