We've had an exciting two weeks... I think it's been about that long since I posted pictures... it's hard to keep track of time when you travel half way around the world. :) We have successfully packed all our things and made it through all the security check points and onto all the planes in order to make it to the Solomons. We arrived last Tuesday and were thrilled to see our family waiting for us on the roof of the airport where people can go to wave at people when they take off or land.

We have had a pretty laid back week. Well, at least Eliana and I have. We've been spending most of our time at the house with family. Franklin is the one who has to run the errands in town. :) We'll spend just a few more days here in the capital and then off to the village. I won't be able to do any posting from there, but I will hopefully have some great pics when we get back to town.

Here are a few pictures.

Eliana getting ready to go... we ended up deciding she was too big for the suitcase, so we kept her with us during the flights.
Eliana's first airplane ride.
Learning to be a mommy in a hot climate seems like learning to be a mommy all over again. Here is Eliana getting a bath... an activity that occurs literally 10 times more often than it did in MN.

Eliana gets TONS of attention here. Here she is being loved by two aunties, a cousin, and her grandma.

Eliana loves rice cereal, but is not very fond of sweet peas.

A car trip

Which of these situations do you think is safer? :)

I think it's funny how just changing her clothes can make her look like such a big girl!
