Christmas with the monkeys

On Christmas Day we spent the afternoon at the zoo with Ellie. We spent time with the monkeys, who sometimes stay in the cages and sometimes don't.

Ellie's favorite animal at the zoo, though, is still the giraffe... the statue of the giraffe. The whole time we walk around looking at the other LIVE animals, she just wants to go see the giraffe.

A very belated Merry Christmas from Family Five Leaves. :)

Vaseline

Ellie gets really bad eczema on her cheeks during cold/dry season. Vaseline is one of the tools we use to fight it. Ellie decided that she didn't need our help choosing the amount or applying it one morning.

A train

The other day Ellie moved our kitchen chairs around and made a train. The train even had passengers, Cotton Candy and Lisa Marie.

Relaxing

There's nothing like moving your mom's entire room around so that you can get comfortable!

Oh, and the T shirt Ellie is wearing... she loves it and doesn't want to take it off. Last night, she wouldn't even let me put PJs over it. I had to put the shirt on top so she could still see it. Thank you, BT and Susie!

Mirrors and ponytails

It's true the mirror is dirty, but I still like this picture. I just wish you all could come over and watch Ellie try to see her pony tail in the mirror. It reminds me of watching young animals chase their tails... hahaha. Also, this picture gives you a glimpse at my dear Ellie's hair growing. Yay.

Houseguests

Over Christmas we took care of our friends' cats. Ellie loved it.... until they would scratch her. I liked it... until they decided to become un-potty trained. I must admit I do miss having a pet. I wonder, however, if in this season of life, taking care of a little kid is enough.

Watering the flowers

As you can see from the two orange flowers, Ellie has yet to prove if she has her Grandpa Abel's green thumb. Nonetheless, she's learning... and enjoying it.
